Join us for the Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples (CCIP) Lecture to hear from Environmental, Climate, and Health Advocate Sheila Watt-Cloutier. The event will also feature an opening blessing from Joseph Scott, Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, and Introductory Remarks from Don Sampson, Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians Climate Change Director. The event will also include two Tribal Student Respondents: Ryan Reed and Angela Noah, both students at the University of Oregon.

Environmental, climate, and social justice organizations across Oregon state are taking action to ensure that our historically disadvantaged communities are centered and prioritized in the decision making process. In this session, we will hear about campaigns where grassroots leaders feel investments need to be made in our communities. Following the panel discussion, we will have an interactive breakout group discussion with attendees!
